Wherever wine comes up whether it be a conversion or taste test, most of us start wondering where it came from. If you had ever studied the name of wine, such as Burgundy or Champagne, you shall find a log of wine. Burgundy for instance, we all pretty much know it comes from France, same as Burgundy. The final meal was a grilled chicken breast that had been marinated in a slightly spicy Thai barbecue sauce and then lightly covered in more of the sauce. I was hoping that the sweetness of the sauce would complement the sweetness of the wine. It didn’t. The wine actually presented itself better with green beans in a crushed tomato sauce that also had notes of sweetness.

My initial meal centered on broiled beef ribs. The drink had great length and offered some chocolate. In the face of potato salad with pickles this libation provided a tinge of sweetness and some oak. It was round. It exuded chocolate when paired with eggplant and mushrooms. I finished the meat with a generous dousing of Louisiana hot sauce and our L-R red was somewhat sweet. Its dominant feature was dark cherries.
